Ralph's Capsule Collection by John Early with Radish
The capsule, a collaboration between famed and Maddie Ralph, marks the brand's first foray into the culinary space. Ralph, a Los Angeles native, was working as a dishwasher when a video of her assembling a vegan smashburger, filmed on a back-of-house phone and posted without ceremony, found its way to several million people overnight. She has been at Gourmaybe ever since, where her recipes continue to draw a devoted readership.
The pieces, developed in close collaboration with Ralph herself, take cues from the sensibility she's become known for: a kind of unguarded brightness, a serious devotion to pleasure, an interest in food and beauty and wellness as forms of self-authorship rather than self-improvement. No. Maddies Secret EDP is IFRA compliant which means that they do not contain parabens, phthalates or BHT. The fragrance does not utilize dye in her fragrances, either.

About the Collaboration
John Early and Marissa Zappas with Radish present a new, sensory dimension of his feature film Maddie's Secret: an eponymous gourmand perfume.
Maddie's Secret, John Early's directorial debut, tells the story of Maddie Ralph, an unexpected viral food influencer celebrated for her unique and inspired recipes. However, once the pace of Maddie's newly fledged fame increases, so does a secret she has lived with since childhood. And we are all left wondering: Will Maddie be a good girl forever — or is this her moment of personal liberation?
Maddie's Secret EDP is in direct ode to our heroine. With notes of night-blooming jasmine, toasted rice, chocolate milk, saffron, and Sichuan pepper, the perfume winks at the millennial influencer-approved ingredients of test kitchens past while paying sincere respect to Maddie's hometown of Los Angeles, her innocence, maternal comforts, and the dark wildness of secrecy.
The creative direction riffs on classic "good girl" perfumes, filtering key aesthetic elements from fragrances like White Shoulders by Elizabeth Arden and Clinique Happy through a more complicated 21st century tone. A harmonious tension between old world and new — which is why Marissa Zappas is uniquely suited for this project.
Marissa Zappas is a highly worshiped niche perfumer known for her collaborations and personal collection that balances typical "old lady" perfume with a deeply experimental edge, like her cult-classic fragrances Annabelle's Birthday Cake and Maggie the Cat is Alive, I'm Alive. Zappas most recently worked as the nose behind Nosto's Calico, Teen, and Shiver fragrances, nominated as a 2026 Allure Readers' Choice nominee for breakthrough brand. Her fragrances brush the classic up against the future — just like Maddie Ralph's take on food.
Like Early's movie, the fragrance was made end-to-end with the same artistic integrity, joie de vivre, and care. Though a promotional object, a "merch moment" for the film, it mirrors the film itself: an elevated art object that resists category, falling somewhere beautifully in between. It's extremely unusual for an independent film to have such nice things.
Radish connected two geniuses — Zappas from the perfume world and Early from the comedy world — to prove our belief that the marriage of artistic forms creates products that are as magical as they are successful.
